The CPSF has a double mission:

  • The constitution and management of the French team for the Paralympic Games.
  • The animation, the coordination and the representation of all the sports federations members of the CPSF in order to develop the sports practice of the persons in situation of handicap.
The French Paralympic and Sports Committee is the official representative of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) for France. This international legitimacy is completed, since November 27, 2015, by the recognition of the role of the CPSF in the law. It is also a founding member of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee and the National Sports Agency.
The French Paralympic and Sports Committee is strongly committed to the organization of the 2023 Para Athletics World Championships, with operational and financial support.
