Competition program
From July 8 to 17, 2023, the World Para Athletics Championships will take over the Charlety stadium and will start with a colorful opening ceremony on Saturday, July 8. The competition will then be punctuated by daily events, starting on Sunday, July 9, in the presence of 1330 athletes from 107 nations.


Saturday, July 8th
- Morning: qualifications (if more than 12 athletes in the throwing and jumping events are registered at the end of the registration period on June 1st, a qualification session will allow the selection of the athletes who will compete for the title of World Champion)
- Afternoon: opening ceremony
Sunday July 9: official start of the competition
Each day of competition is composed of 2 sessions. A morning session, between 9am and 12pm, with qualifying events and finals. Then an evening session between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm, with a majority of finals.
A total of 171 ceremonies will take place during the 10 days of competition.
