Guislaine Westelynck, President of the French Handisport Federation, President of the Organizing Committee of the Para Athletic World Championships, PARIS’23
“I’d like to thank the L’Équipe group, its managing director Laurent Prud’homme and all his teams, for setting up this exceptional broadcasting system! The “Paris’23” World Championships are an invitation to the world, a chance to shine the spotlight on achievements, to prepare people’s viewpoints, to open people’s minds to the potential of people with disabilities when expressed at the highest level… Because in the end, behind the emotions and the medals, the challenge is even greater: to contribute to a profound change in the perception of disability at the heart of our society. Thank you for joining us in this wonderful process!”
Laurent Prud’homme, General Manager, L’Équipe Media Group
“The L’Équipe group is very proud to be broadcasting the Para Athletic World Championships.
It is among the major international sporting events (GESI) of the coming months, along with the Rugby World Cup, the Olympic Games and the Paris Paralympic Games. L’Équipe will use all its media – website, app, newspaper, magazine, television, social networks – to cover this parasport competition, the biggest after the Paralympic Games. More generally, it’s the role of L’Équipe, a leader in sports news, to promote and showcase parasport and introduce as many people as possible to the future stars of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.“
